As a mother of 4, I've been a 'health detective' for many years - navigating our food + lifestyle and trying to learn the connection between the choices we make and the results we get on this amazing journey. Kids bring lots of practice!
However, my interest in the role of nutrition took a massive leap in 2017 when I discovered a tattered old book: The UnCook Book (1972).
Enzymes? Proteins are destroyed by cooking?!?
I spent the following year cooking non-stop to become a Certified Advanced Level Living Food chef.
As I learned this new way of eating, my springtime allergies 'magically' disappeared. My skin began glowing, and I needed less sleep!
Along the way, I studied regenerative, veganic farming (no animal-based fertilizer) and dove deep into the role of glysophate, wheat and dairy in our planetary woes, both physical AND mental.
I spent the next 2 years becoming a Functional Nutrition Wellness Coach to begin helping others, but there was a nagging incompleteness:
I still wanted to know what ultimately CAUSES illness.
